Notably used alongside the mouth emoji to create the "It is what it is" emoji face: ๐Ÿ‘๏ธ๐Ÿ‘„๐Ÿ‘๏ธ. Learn more here.

Eye was approved as part of Unicode 7.0 in 2014 and added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
